Notes

Search optimization & marketing can easily be a full time job. Many firms charge up to $5000 a year and more for these services. In some cases, the client receives absolutely no additional benefit beyond what our program offers. Others do a great job of covering all the bases, including advanced techniques that may require days of work and creating multiple sites, excellent content, etc. Most of the outfits that offer "top 10 in 30 days", etc., can't deliver, or if they do it may be through "black hat" techniques of the sort that may work for a while, until the search engines "get wise" and ban the sites involved. This happend recently when most of the participants in "link farms" got permanently banned from the major search engines. Just a fyi, as I realize that it's confusing to try to make sense of the options.

90% of search optimizing is common sense, and you can do it yourself if you have the time and patience. It's largely expertise, research, and patient editing that you're paying for. In addition to knowing what the "right" things to do are, it's equally important to know what NOT to do. It's possible to inadvertantly get your site penalized or banned, even if you aren't trying to do anything "wrong". Too high a density of keywords, too small text, text the same color as the background are examples. So, if you decide to do your own, be sure to do some research first.

We aim to cover the most important basic elements of optimization - the ones that will give you the most 'bang for the buck'. There is a near endless list of additional tasks that can be performed. As part of our service, we are happy to provide tips for further actions that can be taken to continue the optimization process, and, of course, we are available by contract or hourly to continue the process.
